Highfields Presbyterian Church of England built in 1875 has 180 sittings, there is a Baptist chapel.

Mrs Price’s charity, producing about £40 yearly, is for pensions and clothing for the poor residents of Blackham

Post Office Blackham, William Clarke jnr sub postmaster. Letters through Tunbridge Wells. Box cleared at 8.30am and 7pm, Sundays 6.45pm. Withyham is the nearest money order office and Ashurst station is one mile distant, the nearest telegraph office.
